For when you need a crown, usually it’s because you have a lot of cracks in your tooth, or you’ve broken your tooth because you had those cracks and you waited too long. And if you wait too long with a cracked tooth, you can break a tooth in a way that we can’t fix it. We can fix it, but it needs a root canal, which is, you know, treatment of the root, because bacteria can get down inside the root of the canal.
So you want to have something strong to hold that tooth together, especially as we get older, we get more and more fractures just from youth. Or maybe we accidentally bit into a pearl in an oyster like I did. So don’t wait like I did until it hurts.
Then you need two root canals instead of, I could have just had a crown.
