We offer, you know, all kinds of restorative dentistry here at the office from, you know, simple small fillings to root canals, crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants. So all the way through the spectrum. What we try to focus on the most is preventative dentistry and being conservative.
So we always try to gravitate towards trying to save teeth. So if you come in and you have a chipped tooth or you have a problem, if we can maintain that tooth for you for as long as possible, that’s what we want to do. Because being able to keep your natural tooth is always going to be, you know, the best option for you.
We’re able to do that with the materials that we have here. So we use the, you know, even in terms of simple fillings, we use the, you know, most up-to-date materials. For our crowns, we always have the representatives coming in here and we use the strongest, newest cements.
For the implants, we have representatives that come in here and we, you know, Dr. Ambrose has actually even visited the implant factories in different countries to see, you know, which ones he thought were the best and those are the ones we use here. We think for our patients, we always want to use the best materials and be able to have them, you know, have the best type of work done in their mouth to be able to have the most function. Generally, I’d say it’s always better to save the tooth because all the, you know, man-made options we have, like we can put in an implant or we give you a denture is never going to be as good because it’s removable.
But even if we put in an implant, there’s no guarantee that that implant is going to last you forever. So if you come in and you’re a young patient, if I can do a crown for you, even if it’s not, you know, the tooth is not in the best shape, if I can do a crown for you and put it together and that tooth now lasts you another 15 years and you get the implant after that, that’s the best option. If we pull the tooth down, we put an implant and then later down the line, you know, the implant lasts you 20 years, we can be alive 20 more years, then we’re stuck.
And so we always want to kind of postpone taking the tooth out. If we can buy you some more time with that tooth in, then you’re going to have function for a longer amount of time.
