Oral surgery in this office is that a little different than a lot of other offices. First, we deal with the anxiety, but then once it gets to the procedure, we also have technology that helps us with that. I have a centrifuge in this office, so we have two phlebotomists in this office.
We take blood from patients, we spin it, we separate that blood, and we reuse it in the sites. So let’s talk about wisdom teeth extractions, for example. Someone comes in here, they have pain, and the best way to take care of that pain is oral surgery, right? We need to remove these wisdom teeth.
So when we remove those wisdom teeth, we take that blood, we put it back in the socket, and we’ve already done most of that healing for that patient. Instead of that blood having to harden and become solid there, we already put that solid in there, and that patient will go from having probably two weeks of discomfort to having only two days of discomfort.
